年德國柏林出生的 Jerszy Seymour，從小就旅居過不少地方，在倫敦長大的他於 South Bank Polytechnic 學習工程學，而後於 Grand College of Art 取得工業設計的碩士學位。也是在 Regal College of Art 就學時培養出對於 3D 物件和雕塑品的濃厚興趣。畢業後遊歷世界各地，曾於米蘭經營自己的工作室，並在這裡開始了許多具實驗性的創作取向，例如：House in a Box、Scum、Tape…等等。此一時期也和不少的家具大廠合作，如 Magis、Vitra、Kreo、Moulinex、SFR、IDEE。年之後，則搬回自己的故鄉柏林持續創作、生活。
